Description of learning outcomes in the field of study

The aims of the degree course are a sound basic knowledge of natural sciences, trouble-shooting, analytical and leadership skills as well as technical mastery and methods for development. In addition, students learn to develop their communicative and interactive skills and also master internal and external entrepreneurship.

Description of learning outcomes

The main subject specific competencies are mathematical and scientific competence, hardware competence, software competence and ICT engineering competence. Also understanding the basic ICT business operations is one important element of engineering skills. The quality aspect is important in developing products and services.

Description of learning outcomes in the advanced studies

Software Engineering

In the software engineering line of study the main focus is on mastering most important programming techniques and languages. Also utilizing modern modeling techniques and development tools is essential.

Media and Communication Technology

In the media and communication line of study programme designing and implementing safe and reliable data networks and also designing and developing services utilizing such networks is the main objective. The potential use of www and mobile technology is central.
